Low Wu Yang
Hello everybody! My name is Low Wu Yang of HH08, 09S06G and of course the RJC batch of 2009! I study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and German. Some might question my rather unusual choice of the German language over Economics, but it was never any doubt for me as the German language was and still remains something I am very passionate about. Like my subject combination, my interests are also rather diverse. I dabble in many fields but some of those that really pique my interest include photography, singing, web-design and reading. With my interest in singing, it might not come as much of a surprise that my CCA is Raffles Chorale. I am also a member of the Raffles Medical Society.
The key reason why I decided to take up the challenge of running for council is the desire to give back to the Rafflesian community. For four years, the Rafflesian community has looked out and watched over me, always encouraging and never despondent. I have been given numerous opportunities to develop myself both as a learner and a leader, a trend that has continued to this day. Therefore I decided that it was my turn to take up the mantle of responsibility and return the school’s faith in me. How would I go about doing so? By giving back to you of course! If you should give us the Howdyhuff Heroes your vote and your trust, we will return the favour by lending a listening ear to your grievances and put forth your feedback through the proper channels so that they are heard. We will strive to improve the experience of studying in RJC by ensuring that the pursuit of academic excellence never compromises the fun and exciting atmosphere of the school! We might not have real superpowers but we will strive to the extent of our abilities to serve you, the student body. So once again I appeal to you to place your faith in us the Howdyhuff Heroes and allow us to serve you!
