Tammy Ying
Hey friends! I am Tammy Ying from Orientation Group HH08 – T’eam Rocket! My CCA is One Earth and I am in 09S05B taking Physics Geography, Mathematics and Economics – a double science and double humanities combination (not really the conventional PCME or BCME or even humanities or arts combination that you see today). I love Geography. Physical Geography in particular, because it lets us learn about the happenings on Earth and our surroundings we live in. My hobbies are reading, listening to music, collecting recyclable materials and environmentally-related articles, and hand-making accessories! They help me unwind and distress after a week or so of intense mugging (and campaigning!).
I’m running for council mainly because I want to serve the school, in particular, you! I believe firmly in being the change that you want to see in the school. I wish to be a link between you and the school administration, teachers, and other figures in the school in order to be that change to help improve your life in RJC! I aspire to be a superhero! As you can see, our campaign team theme is based on the heroic cartoon characters – the Powerpuff Girls. As our blog suggests, adding our own personal touch and originality to these characters, we’ve decided to call ourselves the “Howdyhuff Heroes” (HH!)! As cute and childish this theme may seem, the underlying meaning behind them actually portrays our passion and enthusiasm for service quite aptly. Like the Students’ Council, superheroes serve their community to the best of their abilities. Though we may not have the superpowers of flight or moving objects with our mind, we believe that we can be just like them by putting in our 110% while serving the school. This way, we will be heroes in our own ways! As such, even super heroes need to draw strength from the encouragement of those around them in order to persevere and never give up. Just like them, we need YOUR support in order to be able to fulfill our wish of joining Students’ Council. So vote for us! Fangting, Tammy and Wuyang (FTW)! From there, we can work hand-in-hand and bring our school soaring to even greater heights!
P.S. Just in case you’re wondering, among the three characters portrayed on the blog, I’ve chosen to be Bubbles! The reason was quite a simple one. Before dyeing my hair color back, I originally had a rather blonde hair colour. Hence, I was nicknamed the blonde in my OG (but that isn’t the only reason okay!)! Bubbles’ character is also rather similar to mine. We’re bubbly, talkative, friendly, caring, (we both like soft toys too) and we play a good supporting role in a team!
